Mobile Application: Managing Categories

Categories act like folders in your app's menu, letting you group related items together. This keeps things tidy and easy to find, especially when you have a lot of content.

Here's a quick rundown on how to manage categories:

  1. Finding the Menu Builder: Head to the Mobile App Menu Builder in our system. Look for a link or menu option that says something like "Menu Builder."

  2. Adding a New Category: Once you're in the Mobile App Menu Builder, click the "Category" button. This will open a page to create a new category.

  3. Editing Existing Categories: If you need to change an existing category, find it on the menu list and click the pencil icon next to it. This lets you edit the category's details.

  4. Setting Up Your Category: On the category edit page, you'll find a few things to fill in:

    • Give your category a clear and descriptive name.
    • Choose who can access this category within the app (permission level).
    • Click "Continue" to move on.
  5. Using Categories for Organization: Once you've created a category, you'll see it as an option in other edit screens. This lets you assign items to the right category, making your app easier to navigate.

  6. Don't Forget to Save! Before you leave the page, make sure to click "Save" to keep all your changes.
