Donations

This article provides a guide to the Donations Module, which allows your organization to accept online donations through your website. To utilize the Donations Module, you'll need to have an existing Online Payment Gateway set up, such as PayPal or Authorize.net.

How to Get Started
  1. Navigate to the Donations and Wishlist module within your website's administrative dashboard.
  2. Locate the Donations URL towards the bottom of the page and copy it.
  3. Using the Website Content Manager, add a link to this URL in your website's navigation menu or on specific pages where you want to accept donations.

Features and Benefits
  • Simplified Donation Process: Donors can complete the entire donation process on a single, user-friendly page.
  • Streamlined Donor Tracking: Connect donations to existing member and contact information in your database. Donors can also choose to enter their email address for tracking purposes without having to log in.
  • Flexible Donation Options: Offer various donation types beyond a simple donation, including options for memorials and donations made "in honor of" someone.
  • Customization Options: Administrators can customize labels and tailor the thank-you email sent to donors automatically after their contribution.
  • Targeted Fundraising: Create separate fundraising campaigns to allow donors to direct their contributions to specific initiatives.
  • Anonymous Giving: Provide the option for donors to contribute anonymously, excluding their information from public displays and marketing communications.
  • Recurring Donations (Authorize.net only): Enable the option for recurring monthly donations, requiring additional setup with your Authorize.net account.
  • Goal Tracking and Reporting: Monitor progress towards your fundraising goals with a visual thermometer graphic. Generate comprehensive reports based on various criteria, including donor information, campaign, donation amount, and date range. Reports can be viewed graphically or downloaded as a CSV file for further analysis.
