Updating Primary Contact for Cross-References

This guide helps administrators change the Primary Member to a Secondary Member. All other Secondary Members and the current Primary will be linked to the new Primary.


  1. Find and edit the primary record in the member database.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the record and click the "Change Primary Cross-reference" link.
  3. Choose the desired Secondary Member from the list of cross-references.
  4. If you want to transfer all billing information to the new Primary, check the box.
  5. If the account has a Marketing Landing Page, click the "Reassign MLP Page to New Primary" button to move it to the new Primary Contact.
  6. Click "Reassign Primary" to proceed.
  7. Click "Yes" to save the updated information.
