Discount codes are a feature of the event registration system that allows users to receive discounts on their registration. These codes are created by website administrators and can be shared with specific individuals or groups.
To enable discount codes for an event registration, follow these steps:
1. Check the "Use Discount Codes" box: On the first event registration admin page (page 1 of 5), there is a box near the bottom that says "Use Discount Codes." Check this box to enable discount codes for the registration process. This will allow you to create discount codes and prompt users to enter them during their registration.
2. Creating Discount Codes: After checking the box, when you click "Continue" on page 1, you will be taken to page 1a where you can create your discount codes. Here, you have the option to create new individual codes or copy codes from a previous event registration.
3. Adding a New Code: To create a new code, click on "Add a Code" at the top of the page. Fill in the required information for the discount code:
4. Submitting and Creating Codes: After providing the necessary information, click on "Submit" to create the code. You can repeat this process to create multiple codes. During registration, users will be prompted to enter a discount code, and the associated discount will be applied if the code is valid.
You can create as many codes as you want, but each user can only enter one code during their registration. Once you have finished setting up the codes, users will be able to enter a discount code when registering for the event, and they will receive the corresponding discount.
