Broadcast Text Messaging

Broadcast Text Messaging allows you to send permission-based text messages to a designated list of recipients.

For a monthly fee of $20, you can send up to 1000 text messages with our broadcast service. If you exceed this limit, there will be a charge of $0.02 per additional text message. To activate this feature, simply reach out to our tech support team, and we'll enable the module for you.

Once the module is activated, you need to set up a special mobile-phone field in the member database. This field will store the mobile numbers of your members. Make sure to load the mobile numbers into this field so they can be used for sending broadcasts.

To set up the mobile phone field, follow these steps:

1. From the Admin Menu, click Configuration
2. Under Member Database, cick "Custom Fields and Field Labels"
3. Locate the Mobile Phone field and enter a title to enable the field
4. Save Changed

Sending a message: 

1. From the Admin Menu, click Communication, then Text Messages
2. Click on 'Send New Message' to compose your message. 
3. Enter a subject (for tracking purposes) and the message content.
4. On the next screen, you'll be able to choose recipients. Only member records with mobile phone numbers filled in will be available for selection.

After sending the message, a 'status page' will be available, showing the progress of the message delivery. It also captures any replies received from recipients.
