Add Cross-Referenced Accounts

This functionality allows for the inclusion of additional members who do not incur individual charges by assigning them to a $0 member plan. These secondary members are then linked to a designated primary contact, who possesses a full-priced membership.

To cross-reference a non-paying member to a paying member:

1. Edit the non-paying member's information.

2. Select the primary contact from the cross-reference field.

Think of cross-referencing as a parent-child relationship, where the non-paying member (child) is cross-referenced to the paying member (parent).

Getting Cross-Referencing Right

If you accidentally make a mistake in cross-referencing, it can be challenging to understand the relationship between members.

To make it easier to analyze:

  1. Use the info page in the member database admin. It will show you which record a particular member is cross-referenced to (parent) and any records that may be cross-referenced to it (children). You can navigate to view those records as well.
  2. Utilize the cross-reference report in quick reports. This report provides a comprehensive overview of parent and child records within your organization, making it easy to identify relationships at a glance.
